Logistics in Alexandria

February 8, 2010
The hotel is at the end of the pier and the library where we will be meeting is at the beginning. So no one can say they got lost on Monday morning!

You can see to go from the hotel the library where we are meeting is less than one kilometer down the pier. So no one can claim they got lost, or traffic was bad!

As you all know, the UN staff in your country are handling logistics for flights, etc. However, we thought we’d post the hotel information here as well after receiving a few questions.

We’ll all be staying at the Windsor Palace Hotel (link goes to official Web site; beware of the music).

The address is:
Windsor Palace Hotel
17 EL-SHOHADA STREET,
ALEXANDRIA, Egypt
(link goes to Google Maps)

You’ll see it’s a very short walk from the hotel to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, where we will have all our meetings. So no excuses to be late for our opening session Monday morning at 9 a.m.!

Truly appreciate the warning about the music 😉

The agenda looks fantastic and I am SO excited to be part of this! Especially to be meeting at the Alexandria library — now THAT is special! Please accept my apologies for being a latecomer to this blog discussion as for some reason I just learned about it (that speed-reading will cost ya!). Really looking forward to meeting you all.
